For those who are new to the wheel of the year and pagan holidays. Aka earth-holidays or basically days of specific meaning in the cycle of a year based on the seasons and specific astrological events. The days are usually based on the northern hemisphere so for those of you living below the equator, you celebrate those days the other way around.
The first of February, Imbolc [Old Irish i mbolg meaning in the belly, a time when sheep began to lactate and their udders filled and the grass began to grow] is the halfway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. It’s also called the beginning of spring. And let that be exactly why it makes such a great metaphor for manifestation and law of attraction work.
Because when you look outside where I live, there is still frost everywhere. On the grass, on the streets, on cars.. Yet something new is beginning underneath the surface and it is definite, nature doesn’t doubt itself. Nature just follows the flow of the universe and delivers. There is no doubt, not one year, that the spring equinox wouldn’t be filled with blossoms and warmer weather and budding flowers. Even though now it’s still invisible to the eye. It is already there. Already “in the vortex” as Abraham-Hicks would say, of Gaia. Therefor it can not not happen. Just like how we will plant a seed in our manifestation process and then we have to sit with it for a while and water it, feed it nourishing energy, confidence and underneath the surface the materialization will follow.
So tomorrow as a symbolic way to celebrate Imbolc maybe remind yourself of the seeds you planted. Send positive intentions and energy towards them, have you been watering them? And giving them nourishment? Send love to your energetic seeds so they may soon materialize!
How will you celebrate tomorrow?
